What is Sun Style T'ai Chi?

Of the five main styles of T'ai Chi, Sun style is the most recent and arguably one of the most sophisticated. Sun style is characterised by its upright posture, street-wise martial arts moves and its 'follow-up' step. Sun Lu-t'ang, already a master of Xing Yi Quan and Bagua Zhang, modified Wu (Hao) Style T'ai Chi and created Sun Style T'ai Chi Quan (孙氏太极拳), a novel syncretic form drawn from aspects of all three martial arts.

What is Neigong?

Neigong is the study and practice of the 'internal' arts. This practice is mainly concerned with the cultivation of Qi for health, posture and whole body power.

What can you learn with us?

We can teach you one or more of the Sun style forms which you can practice alone. We will also teach you some simple Neigong techniques, which will complement and enhance your T'ai Chi.

Simple, intermediate and advanced forms

We teach three forms of Sun style: T'ai Chi for Arthritis (41 form), Competition Routine (73 form) and Traditional Routine (97 form). See here for demonstrations of these forms.

Standing meditation and posture alignment

We practice zhan zhuang standing pole meditation as the core of our Neigong training and the foundation for developing core strength. We primarily train San Ti Shi (San Cai Zhuang) and Kan Zhuang (Hun Yuan) postures.

Improve flexibility, core strength and whole body power

Learning T'ai Chi and Neigong can improve your health, promote longevity and build core strength. You can practice anywhere, you don't need any special equipment and once learned stays with you for life.
